Modia (short for Mobile Diagnostics) exists for the moments when moving a patient is harder than moving the service.

Our story
Modia Health grew from a practical problem our founders saw again and again: vulnerable patients were being moved through a strained system for care that could often be delivered in place.
Tim and Usmi saw this from different sides of healthcare, from regional imaging and aged care to women's health and community-based care. The answer was not a bigger waiting room. It was a calmer, more connected way to deliver the same diagnostic quality closer to the patient.

We work closely with referrers, aged care staff, support coordinators and families so patients can receive high-quality care without unnecessary travel, long waits or stressful transfers.

In Emerald, Queensland, Tim was running a regional ultrasound clinic and Usmi had grown up watching her mum work as an aged care nurse. They were looking at the same problem from different sides.
